How to bypass little village academy’s policy……

step 1: ignore the schools “healthy eating policy”
step 2: bring whatever the fuck you want weather you’re going to get in trouble or not
step 3: keep doing this until you get suspended or expelled.
step 4: enroll in a new school and eat whatever the fuck you want. :)

It sounds like a way for the school to make money…. JUST to make more money.

My friend is diabetic, so having forced lunch wouldn’t be the best as a nutrition chart is NOT available in the cafeteria. He logs down his carbs, sugars, ect. to make sure he eats a balanced, healthy meal. I have Acid reflux disease, not as bad as diabetes per say, but I cannot eat sweet n’ sour chicken (made of the same chicken) or eat spicy pasta. So I’d have to buy a small burger or even NOT EAT LUNCH.

Now, my highschool started this year, my Freshman year, with a different catering company. This company is much more expensive for the school, but is apparently healthier? No, it is not. They will serve chicken 4/5 days of the week. Mostly in the form of these balls of breaded chicken. Then they’d just add sauce, or mash potatoes to make it a different meal each day. This catering company: Charters, is known to make schools start forcing students to buy lunch. More in my next comment:

If my dictionary was right, the English word for this is “forced sourcing”. In Holland it’s unlawful. Furthermore this systems runs every risk that a monopolist runs for the quality and service of his product (not having to care about quality, too high prices, no competition). The system runs the risk of getting outdated compared to the free market, and if highly centralized it’s hard to change as well.

THIS IS SUCH BULLSHIT! My school doesn’t do this crap, but MAN, the food at my school is terrible! I had to eat a burger when I forgot to bring my lunch, and when i got home, I ended up puking it was so disgusting! IT WAS LIKE EATING A SLAB OF UNCOOKED MEAT, AND KNOW, THEY ARE FORCING US TO DO THIS?!!?!?!?!!??!?? WTF!

  • MercifulHurricane says:

I’m sorry, but I got the tail end of this bullshit when I was in highschool, no it didn’t have to do with school lunchs but it had to do with controlling the students to a point where they wan’t to rebel. Half of us got forced into a *ahem* note taking class in place of 1 of our electives, where we wrote notes, on top of the notes we we’re taking. Most of us didn’t even need it, but we’re forced in anyways, you know what the schools excuse was? “It’s governement money, we have to use it!” -_- BS

  • TheSouthernAndrew says:

Sounds like some school staff would like some icing with their pay checks…

The school’s food is probably healthier, maybe a few weeks ago it was. When I was in the 5th grade, I found out that the schools’s pizza (not the french bread kind the cheese on cardboard kind) is made during summer break and kept in the school fridge until after school starts again to be reheated served….

I agree every day it seem like America is the most toleration free country on the planet…

  • SirBroadsword says:

God, I love this shit! On one hand you Yanks won’t have a bar of Jamie Oliver making a genuine effort to educate Americans and their kids about healthy food and eating habits without FORCING anyone to do anything, but on the other hand at least some of you are apparently perfectly happy to have your own schools impose healthy options on your kids! I didn’t want to believe it, but it’s clear you really do reject Oliver’s message only because he is a foreigner! My, how retrograde…

  • ShadowTheHellJumper says:

That just makes this three steps away from a concentration camp for kids….

  • bobey29 says:

if you’re a kid at little village academy get your class together flip some birdies at the at the principal

  • xxsnakevenom666xx says:

the school board doesnt control eating habits, just what to read, to write, to listen to and what to wear to school, the board has no control of the childrens parents, forcing kids to buy lunches?! waste of trees, and a waste of time, if a kid wants a pizza, LET ‘EM HAVE A PIZZA if a kid wants something they WANT like maybe Twinkies and or something like Swiss roll or something juicy and delicious let ‘em have it
